The following papers were written by members of the Trail Stewards and our allies, addressing critical issues of public policy as it relates to Jackson Demonstration State Forest and public lands in general. Priscilla Hunter: Priscilla Hunter is an elder of the Coyote Valley Pomo Tribe, a longtime environmental activist, and the Chairwoman of the Sinkiyone Intertribal Wilderness Council. The Coyote Valley Band of Pomo are presently engaged in Government to Government consultations with the State of California as to the fate of JDSF, the ancestral homelands of the Northern Pomo and Coast Yuki Peoples.

Vince Taylor: Vince Taylor, PhD, is a former Rand Corporation economist and the founder of the original Campaign to Restore Jackson State Forest, whose successful lawsuit closed logging in JDSF from the years 2001-2009. Vince Taylor has come out of retirement to become a crucial ally and advisor to the Mendocino Trail Stewards.
